Report: Lukoil's plant in Bulgaria may be suspended
MOSCOW, Nov 20 (PRIME) -- Lukoil Neftohim Burgas, refinery of Russian oil producer Lukoil in Bulgaria, might suspendproduction because of cancellation of quotas for oil product exports from the start of 2024, Bulgarian newswire Novinite reported on November 18 citing a statement of the plant.
"The plant has warned that suspension of oil product export quotas may lead to a halt in production, which will bear logistic risks and a possible crisis in fuel supplies to Bulgaria," the newswire reported.
On November 17, the Bulgarian parliament approved prohibition of imports and refining of Russian oil by Lukoil at its refinery in the city of Burgas from March 1. The export quotas will be abolished in January.
